<p>1.&nbsp;Live in the present or the past.</p>
<p>2. Appreciate what you have or lament what you do not have.</p>
<p>3. Focus on the adversity in your opportunities or your opportunities in adversity.</p>
<p>4. Give thanks or complain.</p>
<p>5.&nbsp;<a href="https://overcomeproblemsblog.com/the-power-to-rejoice/" target="_blank" style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);"><b>Use negative self-talk or positive self-talk.</b></a></p>
<p>6. Control things you can control (your thoughts, words and actions) or try to control things you cannot control (change, the past, the future, weather, stock market, gas prices, traffic, other people&#8217;s mind, other people&#8217;s happiness).</p>
<p>7. Associate with friends who life you up or friends who bring you down.</p>
<p>8. Complain about the government or be thankful that you have freedom of speech.</p>
<p>9. Ask empowering questions (How can I use this adversity to my advantage?) or victim questions (Why do bad things keep happening to me?)</p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">So, the day stretches before you, waiting to be shaped. And you are the sculptor who gets to do the shaping.</span></p>
