When the inevitable problems arise, it is easy to think you are facing them alone. God wants you to know that is not the case – ever. In fact, he unequivocally promises that He will:
1. Be with you.
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. (Isaiah 43:2)
2. Be your refuge.
The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. (Psalm 9:9)
3. Give you strength.
He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. (Isaiah 40:29)
4. Give you wisdom.
If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. (James 1:5)
5. Give you peace.
And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (James 1:5-7)
6. Fight for you.
The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still. (Exodus 14:14)
7. Meet all your needs.
And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:19)
8. Never leave you.
Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. (Deuteronomy 31:6)
9. Carry out his plan for your life.
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11)
10. Rescue you from trouble.
The righteous person faces many troubles, but the Lord comes to the rescue each time. (Psalm 34:19)
11. Work everything for your good.
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28)
