Helping Professionals Prevent Stress Before It Starts
Stress doesn’t have to control your life.
I help nurses and other professionals prevent stress before it starts – so they can experience greater peace, clarity, and effectiveness in their work and personal lives.
Most stress programs focus on managing stress after you’re already overwhelmed. My approach is different. I focus on prevention – because preventing stress is far more powerful than trying to manage it once it takes over.
My Story
I started my practice in March 1994 after I (along with 5,000 others) was laid off from my corporate management job. This was two years before I was eligible to retire.
While others were stressed to the point of getting ill as they worried about finding a new job, how they were going to pay their bills, educate their kids, buy food, etc., I was not stressed out, nor did I become ill. In fact, I considered this circumstance an opportunity. Even though I did not know what would come next, I focused on the fact that God, who cannot lie, promised he would meet all my needs as he led me to the next opportunity.
As I researched the issue of stress, I realized that most programs taught people how to manage stress. After ome research and based on my experiences, I realized that, instead of focusing on managing stress, I would teach people how to prevent stress.
The next opportunity turned out to be becoming an author, coach, and speaker.
I created practical tools, books, and audio courses designed to help nurses and other professionals prevent stress before it starts.
My stress prevention approach is:
- Practical
- Proven
- Easy to apply
- Real-world-focused
- Biblically grounded
I believe stress prevention should be simple, practical, and effective – not complicated or theoretical.
